‘Girl of Courage’ at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, Winnipeg

An exhibition dedicated to Pakistani schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai titled “Girl of Courage” is on display at the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg through March 14, 2017.Yousafzai became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 after surviving a bullet to the head, having been made a target by the Taliban for defying their ban on girls pursuing an education. She became an activist at the age of 11, reaching out to international audiences through social media and television interviews to encourage girls in unfortunate circumstances to study despite adversity and persecution.
