“Notes for Later” by Louisa Gagliardi is being hosted at Rodolphe Janssen, Belgium, through February 11, 2017.In this first exhibition of Gagliardi at Rodolphe Janssen, she presents works that portray variations of night. The exhibited works examine restless nights filled with self-reflection. Gagliardi has portrayed subjects in idle poses confronting restlessness. While in one painting there are two faces staring in opposite directions, in another she has shown an androgynous figure in a dark pasture on all fours. The subjects in her works are shown reflecting and pondering, as if they are trying to see themselves through others.
